View from Google Streetscape June 2016 The Upper Bible Room School has requested FEMA funding to renovate the church and school buildings at 5134 Paris Avenue.1 The repair will allow the Upper Bible Room School and Church to use buildings on this campus as a temporary facility. The Upper Bible Room School and Church renovations include repairing and replacing utilities, cleaning and painting of exterior, cleaning and renovation of interior spaces, replacement of window and doors, sidewalk installation to accommodate ADA requirements and new roofs on multiple buildings. Federal regulations require FEMA, as funding agency, to identify if any of the properties are historic (listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places); to assess the effects the work will have on historic properties; to seek ways to avoid, minimize, or mitigate any adverse effects to historic properties; and to evaluate the proposed action's potential for significant impacts to the human and natural environment. FEMA has determined that the four buildings at 5134 Paris Avenue: the auditorium, classroom building, office building and the church sanctuary are a historic property and eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. FEMA determined this project will adversely affect this historic property. This project has a low potential to affect historic archaeological properties and FEMA determined that it is highly unlikely that there is an archaeological site within the project area.
